Come celebrate the ribbon cutting of another small business! While you're here, take a look at the jewelry they'll be bringing.
Halo-Missions is a vocational rehabilitation service organization in Nashville, TN supporting women who are working toward changing their lives for the better. The focus is on women who have been released from incarceration or struggle with drug and alcohol addictions. As the women are in the different stages of recovery: inpatient rehabilitation, transitional housing, and finally recovery, they are taught how to handcraft the jewelry. Every bracelet and earring is handmade by women in one of these stages of recovery. The women are paid for each piece of jewelry they make providing needed supplementary income. The jewelry instructional classes are all taught by former addicts who are in the recovery phase of their treatment. This allows opportunity to help and lead others by example and testimony. The instructors can fully understand the struggles the women are facing and help to show them it is possible to overcome and make it to the final recovery stage.
