Event Description:
The Mockingbird Sings original play with music kicks off at the Musical Heritage Center of Middle Tennessee in Pegram at The Fiddle & Pick Sat Sept 22 & Sun 23 2012.    A musical play explains the origins of real country music in Appalachia. The play is set in 1927, where Eddie  records  his  first  song  at the  Bristol  sessions  in  Bristol, Tennessee alongside Jimmie Rodgers, The Stonemans  and The Carter Family, becoming what now is commonly held as THE   BIRTH   OF   COUNTRY   MUSIC.
